The village of Aspro is a small village on a hill in the Apokoronas just above the tourist resort of Almirida. It is set back from the road and very quiet (no passing traffic). It overlooks the Bay of Souda towards Almirida. There are not many people living there and it is like time stood still. Some of the old houses have been renovated, while others are still in ruin. You can walk through its kobbled streets and find interesting details and arches on the old stone build houses or just admire the bougainvillea trees and the views over the Bay of Souda all the way to the village of Almirida and beyond.
